FRANCINE’S x FELD - AUGUST 17 Chef @garrettbmartin and the Francine’s team are thrilled to welcome @jake.potashnick , chef and owner of Feld in Chicago, for a one-night guest chef dinner at Francine’s on August 17th. Jake has quickly become one of the most exciting chefs in North America. Since opening in 2024, Feld has earned one Michelin star, was named one of Bon Appétit’s Best New Restaurants in America, and Jake was recognized with the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Great Lakes in 2026. His cooking is rooted in an uncompromising respect for ingredients, seasonality, and the people who produce them. Feld has built a reputation for thoughtful, ingredient-driven cuisine that celebrates small farmers, artisans, and the natural character of every product on the plate. Jake and Garrett first met in 2016 while cooking together at Daniel Berlin Krog in Skåne-Tranås, Sweden. What started as a shared experience in one of the world’s great kitchens grew into a close friendship that has lasted ever since. We’re very grateful to have the opportunity to host Jake, cook together again (this time in Calgary!), and share an evening that reflects the influences, curiosity, and camaraderie that have shaped both of their careers.
